History Of Computer

When was the first computer invented?

The  first mechanical computer was invented by Charles Babbage in 1822.
Who was the most important History pioneer? 
The most important history pioneer in computer was Charles Babbage because he was the first one to  introduce a mechanical computer. He invented and developed he Difference Engine (1820's) and the Analytical Engine (late 1830's) but failed to complete it. His idea leads to further development of computers up today.  Because of these, he was considered the father of computing.

Spacewar is considered the first digital game and was first released in February 1962. It was programmed by Steve Russell. 

Who invented the world wide web?

Tim Berners-Lee of London, England invented the world wide web.

Who invented the mouse?

The mouse was invented by Douglas Engelbart.


What was the first Programming language?


The first programming language for a computer was Plankalkül. It was developed by Konrad Zuse for the Z3 between 1943 and 1945. However, it was not implemented until 1998.


Who is considered the "Father" of Computing? Computers? Personal Computing?


Charles Babbage was considered the father of computing; Konrad Zuse, the father of the computer developed Z1, Z2, Z3, and Z4; Henry Edward Roberts coined the term "personal computer" and is considered to be the father of the modern personal computers after he released of the Altair 8800 on December 19, 1974.


Why was Alan Turing so important to Computing history? 
He proposed a machine called turing machine in 1936 that became the foundation for theories about computing and computers. The machine was a device that printed symbols on paper tape in a manner that emulated a person following a series of logical instructions.
