1.      How much time do you spend on your phone per day not including this course?

I spend almost ALL of my time using my phone. In fact, I check it every minute or hour.

2.      List your top 5 things you do on your phone daily
  • chatting
  • gaming
  • surfing the net
  • putting reminders and using notes for stuffs
  • using its utilities like calculator, clock, calendar, etc.
3.      What are some of the problems or consequences with constantly being “online” or connected to your phone? Explain.

Some problems or consequences I encounter being online and connected to phone is that, I do not have enough time for my priorities. I forgot important things because I'm always busy with Facebook and other social networking sites. There are also nights that I'm losing enough sleep and I use it again the moment I wake up or I wake myself up just to check it out. That's the reason why I have a poor eyesight. So, it does affects ones health.

4.      Should teachers be allowed to take away your phone?

This is a big YES. It's for student's sake anyway. In order for us to learn, we need to focus on what we discuss in class.

5.      How do you feel if a teacher takes away your phone?

I've been caught using my phone but my teacher didn't take it away. He just warned me so I never used it again in class.

Rule #2:  You don't always need the Internet.

Rule #3:  Learn to discover things all by yourself.

Rule #4:  DO NOT overuse it.

Rule #5:  DO NOT let technologies control you.

Watch the Doc CBC Documentary.

What conclusions come from this Doc?  List some points they use to prove their theory!

"The more you invest in technology, actually, the less productive your people are."  People are now dependent on technology resulting in lack of self confidence. It really destroys the sense of focus. Humans crave for technology and it is interfering with the everyday lives. Technology is addictive that most of us can't live a day without holding our phone. It is destroying the REAL significance of communication which is talking with one another with all your attention centered to them. It affects our health increasing the level of stress, burn out and marital complex, decrease job & life satisfaction. This implies that technology is not a good thing that will help us.
